Salary: $70,310 - 95,125 per year Requirements:

• We are looking for 2-5 years of relevant hands-on experience.
• We prefer a degree in engineering or materials science at the associate, bachelors, or masters level, or an equivalent technical training background.
• Experience in laser processing, laser marking, laser micromachining, or materials science is an advantage, depending on the role.
• CNC or robotic programming, materials science knowledge, and vision systems expertise are considered a plus.
• We value a natural curiosity about new innovations and emerging technologies.
• Strong analytical thinking and the ability to solve problems independently for internal and external customers are essential.
• We expect sound judgment, strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• We look for candidates who can operate and program TRUMPF equipment or who have experience with similar systems.
• A solid understanding of laser materials processing fundamentals, including laser, process and material parameters, and laser safety, is required.
• The ability to write application reports, research reports, and statements of work is important.
• Basic knowledge of mechanical and electrical machine data is needed.
• The role involves up to 25% travel.

• We manage and carry out customer application trials and demonstrations, including customer communication, technical requirement review, sample preparation and processing, report writing, and follow-up.
• We support complex application projects both internally and at customer sites.
• We host customer visits together with sales and discuss applications and technology directly with customers.
• We serve as internal consultants on materials science topics related to laser processing.
• We maintain regular communication with our Laser Applications Laboratory teams at competence centers about new applications.
• We support Regional Sales Managers and Industry Managers on strategic and key applications.
• We take ownership of strategic application work.
• We support applications across at least two different technologies.
• We assist customers with long-term development projects.
• We contribute original work to our internal applications network.
• We participate in equipment needs reviews and share recommendations and feedback with management.
• We set up and operate TRUMPF equipment.
• We keep our laboratory areas and equipment in excellent working condition and ensure assigned lab and auxiliary equipment are properly maintained.
