Salary:

$78,000 annually (based on experience) plus performance-based bonus and comprehensive benefits package.

Job Summary:

Our client is seeking an experienced Assistant Store Manager to support the daily operations of a luxury retail boutique while delivering an exceptional client experience. This leadership role partners closely with the Store Manager to drive sales performance, coach and develop the sales team, oversee visual merchandising, manage inventory, and ensure operational excellence. The ideal candidate is a passionate luxury retail professional with strong clienteling skills, a proven ability to lead high-performing teams, and a dedication to creating personalized shopping experiences that foster long-term customer loyalty.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Partner with the Store Manager to oversee all aspects of daily boutique operations.
  • Lead, coach, and develop the sales team to achieve individual and store sales goals.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service while providing personalized styling recommendations.
  • Build, maintain, and grow a loyal client base through proactive clienteling and follow-up.
  • Maintain detailed client records and oversee ongoing outreach initiatives.
  • Monitor sales performance and key performance indicators (KPIs) while identifying opportunities for growth.
  • Assist with recruiting, onboarding, training, coaching, and performance management.
  • Execute company visual merchandising standards, window displays, and seasonal floor sets.
  • Collaborate with visual merchandising leadership on product presentation and merchandising updates.
  • Train associates on new product launches, collections, and promotional events.
  • Support in-store events and provide operational and sales recaps.
  • Process sales transactions accurately using the POS system and manage cash handling procedures.
  • Assist with inventory management, merchandise receiving, stock replenishment, transfers, damages, and returns.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy and support loss prevention initiatives.
  • Prepare operational reports and assist with administrative responsibilities.
  • Ensure the sales floor and stockroom remain organized, clean, and presentation-ready.
  • Resolve customer concerns professionally while maintaining the brand's luxury service standards.
  • Follow all company policies, operational procedures, and security guidelines.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of luxury retail leadership experience in an Assistant Store Manager, Sales Manager, or similar supervisory role.
  • Proven success leading teams and consistently achieving sales goals and KPIs.
  • Strong clienteling experience with the ability to build and maintain long-term customer relationships.
  • Passion for luxury fashion, styling, and current industry trends.
  • Excellent leadership, coaching, and team development skills.
  • Strong business acumen with an entrepreneurial mindset.
  • Outstanding communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building abilities.
  • Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail and follow-through.
  • Experience with POS systems, inventory management, and retail reporting.
  • Ability to work a flexible retail schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform the physical demands of a retail environment.
