Internal Communications Plant Operations

Position Purpose

The Internal Communications Contractor will support the planning, development, coordination, and execution of internal communications for the Owensboro site. This role will help strengthen employee understanding of the site's priorities, U.S. Operations' strategic direction, PMI values, and key business initiatives through clear, timely, and engaging communications across available site and company channels.

The contractor will work closely with the U.S. Operations Communications/S&PD team, Owensboro Factory Management, and other relevant stakeholders to help translate priorities into practical, consistent communications that reach employees effectively.

Required Experience and Skills

• 2 to 3 years of communications experience, including administrative work or employee engagement.
• Strong written communications skills with the ability to translate business priorities into clear, concise, employee-friendly messages.
• Experience supporting employee communications, leadership messages, newsletters, town halls, engagement campaigns, or site-level communication channels.
• Strong stakeholder management skills and comfort working with leaders, cross-functional teams, and operational stakeholders.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, coordinate timelines, and work independently in a fast-paced operational environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
• Strong judgment, attention to detail, ability to handle sensitive information appropriately, and commitment to consistent messaging.
