Position purpose
The Product Designer will establish design patterns and principles that scale across ikeGPS's current and expanding product portfolio, influencing how thousands of utility professionals interact with critical infrastructure data daily. Over time, these design system patterns may extend to influence other products in the ikeGPS portfolio, including established desktop applications.
This role requires a unique combination of skills: deep expertise in geospatial and 3D interfaces, mastery of modern design tools including AI-powered workflows, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment where designs directly influence product-market fit for a transformational platform.
Position location
Broomfield, Colorado, USA with Hybrid work Schedule per company policy; Remote may be considered for exceptional candidates.

User Experience Design
Outcomes: Platform delivers an intuitive, elegant user experience that makes complex infrastructure intelligence accessible to utility professionals. Users can effectively leverage AI-powered insights and multi-source data through workflows that feel natural and efficient. The design system scales to support expanding product capabilities while maintaining consistency and quality.
Geospatial & 3D Interface Expertise
Outcomes: Users can effectively visualize, navigate, and analyze complex geospatial and 3D infrastructure data through interfaces that leverage industry best practices while innovating on interaction patterns. The platform provides industry-leading visualization capabilities that help utilities make better infrastructure decisions.
Design Systems & Tooling
Outcomes: A robust design system accelerates product development through reusable components and clear specifications. Front-end engineers receive engineering-ready designs that reduce implementation ambiguity and rework. AI-powered workflows increase design velocity without sacrificing quality.
Rapid Prototyping & Validation
Outcomes: Product concepts are validated with customers before significant engineering investment. Stakeholders can provide meaningful feedback on interactive prototypes rather than static designs. The team maintains velocity through rapid iteration informed by real user testing.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Outcomes: Design work is tightly integrated with product strategy and engineering execution. Cross-functional teams operate with shared understanding of customer needs and technical possibilities. Designs balance user experience excellence with engineering feasibility.
AI-Powered Design Workflows
Outcomes: AI-powered tools accelerate design processes without sacrificing quality. The team maintains competitive advantage through early adoption of emerging design technologies. Design documentation and research synthesis happen faster and more comprehensively.
