LaSalle Network is partnering with our client to hire a Project Accountant on a contract-to-hire basis. This is a fully remote opportunity based in Chicago, IL, supporting transactional accounting and project billing activities across a fast-moving, project-based environment. The Project Accountant will own key Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes, project setup and closeout, and weekly timesheet posting and reconciliation. ResponsibilitiesSet up new vendors and maintain vendor records
Code project and administrative invoices and manage vendor remittances
Generate draft and final invoices and support collections tracking
Support the monthly close process
Prepare financial analyses and reconciliations to investigate variances and understand underlying trends
Complete new project setup, project closeout, and project tracking
Post and reconcile weekly timesheets and labor
Qualifications
3–7 years of experience
Experience in a per-project billing environment (engineering, consulting, or similar, professional services industry)
Experience processing both Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact with internal and external customers
Experience with Dynamics 365 and Microsoft Business Central (plus)
Dedicated office space with a reliable, high-speed internet connection
