Position Title: Middle School Science Teacher (Physics Background)
Location: Suzhou
Experience Required: 3+ years
Education: Bachelor's degree or above

Responsibilities:

To be responsible for effective classroom management to ensure that every student can learn;

To deliver curriculum in English with properly planned teaching resources saved on the school server, ManageBac, or Moodle as needed;

To plan appropriate written curriculum documents as per program needs;

To collaborate with Chinese National Curriculum teachers in designing relevant curriculum;

To meet the learning outcomes of the curriculum;

To ensure that assessment outcomes are used to plan lessons;

To conduct vertical and horizontal curriculum planning, and in particular, to ensure that weekly collaborative planning meetings occur;

To collaboratively write unit plans and upload them to ManageBac;

To submit lesson plans and place them along with student work samples in the teacher folder and on ManageBac;

To use relevant pedagogical approaches to create active and engaged learning experiences for students;

To create relevant and authentic formative and summative assessment tasks;

To be responsible for student learning and ensure that progress happens and is measurable;

To coordinate with parents about student progress;

To coordinate with the pastoral team for regular follow-ups, target setting, and improvement of the student;

To do assessment analysis and use the findings to inform teaching and learning;

To contribute to the wider school community by helping create showcases of student learning and actively participating in exhibitions, field trips, competitions, judging, house events, and so on;

To collect and store evidence of written, taught, and assessed curriculum to assist in evaluation and staff performance evaluation;

To do reporting and commenting as per the needs of school policies;

To adopt a positive attitude towards pastoral learning and student growth;

To adhere to academic honesty and pastoral policy expectations from teachers.

General Requirements:

To be present and responsible for every duty assigned;

To be responsible for one co-curriculum activity (CCA) per week;

To conduct one Parent-Teacher Conference per semester;

To carry out any other job assigned by the Head of Secondary;

To be professionally consistent with the school's mission and values;

To note and apply the school's policies and procedures as applicable;

To participate in school workshops, meetings, and IR (external workshops / conferences);

To comply with the staff handbook expectations of the school;

To fill records for self-evaluation on school software;

To be a homeroom teacher.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or above in the teaching area;

Hold a teaching qualification/certificate;

Ability to work well in a multi-cultural workplace;

Two years of MYP/IGCSE/DP experience;

Command over written, taught, and assessed curriculum;

Ability to use English as the medium of instruction.

分析评估情况，并将其应用于教学；

通过帮助创建学生学习的展示平台，积极参与成果展、社会实践、比赛、评委、学院活动等，为学校社区做出贡献；

收集和保存书面课程、教授课程和评估课程的证据，以帮助进行评价及员工绩效评价；

根据学校政策的需要进行学生成绩报告和评论；

积极对待学生的成长，保持积极的德育态度；

坚持学术诚信和德育政策对教师的要求。
