We’re Daeji Dough Company, Lakeview’s newest neighborhood bakery. We started out as a farmers market stand over a year ago and are thrilled to open our doors to the Chicago community. We make handcrafted baked goods and beverages with fun, delicious flavor combinations and the highest quality ingredients. And we’re looking for like-minded individuals with a desire to make a real, day-to-day impact as we build our start-up from the ground up. Position: Part-Time Social Media Manager

Daeji Dough Company is looking for a creative and detail-oriented Social Media Manager to capture our products, space, and story. If you have an eye for food photography, know how to shoot content that stops the scroll, and love bringing a brand’s personality to life through photo and video, we’d love to hear from you. This is a part-time role at roughly 15-20 hours per week, with flexibility around shoot days and posting schedule.

You will

• Photograph and film baked goods, drinks, and café space for use across TikTok, Instagram, and other marketing channels
• Capture authentic, behind-the-scenes content that reflects Daeji’s day-to-day personality, alongside more polished product and promotional shots
• Shoot content on-site during café hours and at farmers market stalls, working around our baking and service schedule
• Style and present products for photo and video shoots, including lighting, backdrops, and props
• Edit photos and videos for platform-specific formatting (Reels, TikTok, Stories, feed posts)
• Collaborate with ownership on content calendars, campaign concepts, and seasonal or limited-run product launches
• Maintain an organized, easily searchable library of raw and edited content
• Stay current on social media trends, formats, and best practices, and proactively suggest content ideas
• Approach your projects and the team with a high level of accountability, respect, and positive energy
• Perform additional content and marketing support tasks as assigned

• Passionate about food, visual storytelling, and building an authentic brand presence
• A self-starter with a strong sense of initiative and pride in your work
• Eligible to work in the United States and 18 years of age or older

You have

• At least 1 year of experience in food photography and social media marketing or content creation
• Your own basic photo and video equipment (e.g., DSLR/mirrorless camera and lenses, tripods, or lighting you typically shoot with)
• A strong portfolio or content history demonstrating food/product photography and short-form video
• Working knowledge of editing tools such as Adobe Lightroom, Premiere, CapCut, or similar
• An eye for composition, lighting, and styling, with an understanding of what performs well on TikTok and Instagram
• Ability to work on your feet during shoots, including occasional early mornings
• Excellent communication and time-management skills, and the ability to work independently to meet deadlines
• A flexible schedule, with some availability for mornings, weekends, or market days as needed
